Polyether ketone (PEEK) is a high temperature resistant thermoplastic.
History:
Developed in 1978 in the laboratories of ICI Corporation.
Structure and properties:
- Resistant to almost all organic and inorganic chemicals
- Resistant to hydrolysis up to approx. 280°C
- Good insulation properties
- X-ray transparent
- Very temperature resistant
- Not resistant to UV radiation
- Not resistant to acidic, oxidizing conditions and some hydrogen halides

automotive industry, aerospace, insulation material, high-voltage technology, chip manufacturing, medical technology, chemical industry, food industry, core material for instrument sides, flexible circuit carriers in electronics
